My framing nailer quit on a Tuesday morning and I fixed it with a $3 part
Halfway through sheathing a garage in Council Bluffs last Tuesday, my old Hitachi framing nailer just stopped firing, no jam, no click, dead air. I popped off the back cap and the piston bumper was crumbled into little black crumbs, so I drove to the hardware store and grabbed a $3 bumper kit. Twenty minutes later she was banging nails again and I felt like a genius for about a hour until I shot one through my own boot. What cheap part failed on your tools that had you pulling your hair out?
