Just found a stat that blew my mind on employee trust
Ngl I was reading that Edelman Trust Barometer report from last month and saw only 41% of employees actually trust their own company's leadership. That number is way lower than I thought for 2024. Makes me wonder if all those fancy internal newsletters we crank out are even doing anything. Has anyone else seen their team just tune out the corporate messaging?

That 41% number hit me hard too. When I saw it I remembered how my old team would just glaze over during all-hands meetings. What actually helped was when my boss started ditching the scripted updates and just talked to us like real people. She would cut the corporate speak and say stuff like "yeah we messed up the Q3 launch and here's what we're doing to fix it." People actually started paying attention again. Those fancy newsletters might be doing more harm than good if they sound like PR statements. Maybe try swapping one update for a straight talk session with no slides or prepared remarks.

Man, is this really that deep? People zone out sometimes, it's just work.
