That all-hands meeting slide goof that made me rethink templates
I was running a quarterly all-hands for our Midwest team back in March, about 50 people on Zoom. I pulled up a slide showing the new org chart and somehow the version I had listed three people who already left the company. My VP stopped me mid-sentence and asked if the chart was current. I froze for a second, then just said 'No, that's on me, let me pull up the right one.' I ended up sharing my screen and rebuilding a quick list from memory while people waited. It took maybe 90 seconds but felt like forever. After that I started putting 'review date' stamps on every slide template I hand off to others. Has anyone else had a quick fix like that save them from a bigger mess down the road?

Life has a way of teaching you those little checks after the first stumble.

...wait, three people who already left were still on the org chart? That's brutal, @caseyl18. And yeah, a simple date stamp is exactly the kind of thing you don't think about until you're sweating on camera.
