PSA: The woman in my nail salon said she pays $45 for lip filler that lasts 6 weeks
I was getting a fill last Saturday in Phoenix and the lady next to me bragged about her "deal" like it was a coupon for groceries. I just sat there thinking about how a cheap syringe from a place with no doctor on site is exactly how people end up on the news. Has anyone here actually walked out of a spot like that, or do you all vet the injector first?
Walked into a spot like that once with my sister and walked right back out. The "nurse" was in a back room with a folding table and no gloves in sight, and my gut just screamed no. Cheap filler from a rando is how you get lumps, infections, or worse, and that $45 turns into a $5,000 hospital bill real fast. Real injectors have a doctor over them, a license you can look up, and they don't run Groupons out of a strip mall. Saving forty bucks ain't worth your face, period. Vet the person, not the price, and if something feels off, leave.
