The purple toner that turned my client's hair blue-gray

I used a violet toner I'd mixed fresh on Thursday and left it on for the normal 12 minutes. When I rinsed it out, her highlights were this weird blue-gray color, not ash at all. Turns out the developer I grabbed was 20 volume instead of 10, and the toner processed way faster than I expected. Has anyone else had a toner go sideways from grabbing the wrong bottle off the shelf?
