Vent: Spent $150 on a wetsuit that ripped on the third swim
I bought this cheap wetsuit off Amazon for my first open water practice in Lake Tahoe, and the seam split right under my arm after just three sessions. It was labeled as beginner-friendly but the material was way too thin for anything real. Anyone else get burned by budget gear when starting out?

Wait, you did all your open water research before buying or just grabbed the first cheap option that showed up? Three swims on a wetsuit is basically nothing, seams should hold way longer than that even for budget stuff. Did the listing have any real reviews from people who actually swam in it or was it all bots?
