The 2-ton test load that shut up my load chart doubts

Tbh I always figured the load charts in the cab were overly cautious, but last Tuesday I had a 2-ton precast panel swing on a 40 foot boom in Pittsburgh winds and the numbers matched exactly to the pound. Then I've started using the chart for every pick, even easy ones, and I've caught two situations where I would've been over capacity by maybe 800 pounds. Has anyone else found a spot where your gut said fine but the chart said hard no?

That 800 pound overage is exactly the kind of thing that sneaks up on you too, wind and angle changes add up fast. Glad you caught it before it caught you, that's the whole game right there.

My buddy ignored the chart once and bent a boom arm, so yeah.
