Shoutout to my credit union for helping with a credit report error

I finally got a mistake removed from my credit file. It took forever and was so annoying. I had to call the credit bureaus multiple times. They each told me to contact someone else. I mailed in documents twice because they said they never got them. After months, it was fixed and my score went up. I'm relieved but the whole thing should be easier.

Honestly, credit scores get too much attention lol. A small error isn't the end of the world as long as it gets fixed.

Would you say that because it gets fixed later, @perez.mason? The problem is it can take months to correct, and during that time a small error can tank your score enough to mess up a loan application or spike your interest rate. That wait can cost real money. Calling it "too much attention" ignores how much banks actually care about that number right now.
