Overheard a guy at the hardware store say his water heater install took 4 weeks because the company 'lost' his paperwork twice.

He said the manager kept telling him 'it's processing' and never called back. Has anyone else had a company just ghost you mid-job like that?

My plumber once vanished for ten days after taking a big deposit.

Had a guy do that to me once. He was gone for two weeks, but it was only a fifty dollar trip fee he kept. Still felt like a real scam.
