I thought my password was strong until my friend's Instagram got hacked

My friend in Chicago texted me last week asking if I'd sent her weird DMs, and I hadn't. Her account was taken over. We figured out she used a simple password like 'Summer2024!' across a few sites, and one of them had a data breach. I realized I was doing the same thing, just adding a number and symbol to an old word. What's a better way to make unique passwords for everything without needing a notebook?

Summer2024 is basically a welcome sign for hackers. Get a password manager, it's the only way to handle unique ones for every site. Trust me, the hassle is way less than getting your stuff stolen.

Password managers can get hacked too though.
