My password manager failed me last night and I almost lost everything

One of my buddies had a similar scare with his password app last year, it randomly logged him out and he couldn't get back in for hours. Turns out it was some weird update glitch that locked his vault and he had to dig through old emails to find his recovery codes. He switched to a different manager after that and keeps a physical backup sheet in his desk drawer now just in case.
