Reduced to tears by a $6.99 garlic press that snapped in my hand

I bought this cheap garlic press from a discount site last Wednesday and the handle literally broke off while I was crushing ONE clove. There was garlic juice and little metal shards everywhere in my kitchen. Has anyone found a garlic press under $15 that won't fall apart after a single use?

Garlic crushers are actually made differently for left vs right handed people, nobody checks that.

Started using one I bought online and kept getting crushed garlic shooting sideways out of the holes. Thought I was just clumsy or something, but nope. It was a right-handed model and I'm a lefty. The angle of the press is slightly different, you know, so the holes line up wrong. Had to return it and find a proper left-handed one, works so much better now.
