Tried the 'no eating out for a month' challenge and saved $340 but nearly lost my mind on day 12

I was so proud cooking every meal at home until I realized I'd spent $50 on ingredients for a single lasagna that I ate for 4 days straight. Anyone else find that cooking at home just shifts the spending to groceries in weird ways?

Ngl @thea143 I gotta push back on this. The math actually works out better for me most weeks. I spend like 80 bucks and walk out with enough chicken thighs, rice, frozen veggies, and eggs to last me 10 days. That's like $8 a day for three meals. Compare that to grabbing a single burrito for $12 and suddenly the grocery store is a steal. Yeah the upfront cost stings but per serving it's way cheaper than any fast food option.
