That camper van decision I almost made at a Colorado rest stop
After 6 hours of driving my beat up Ford van through I-70 in the snow and pulling over to think, I almost dropped $4,000 on a rooftop tent I saw online, but instead I just bought a $60 foam mattress topper and slept on the floor - has anyone else talked themselves out of a big purchase during a road trip?

My friend Dave bought a used truck from some guy on Craigslist and the alternator died three blocks from the house. Had to push it back up the driveway with his neighbor. @robertb30 is right about that extra money, spent $400 on a new alternator and a tow truck and still had to miss a day of work.
