Vent: I realized I've been asking for feedback on my business plan all wrong

I was showing my draft to a friend at the local library last week, and I kept saying 'tell me what you think.' He just gave a polite nod. Later, I asked him a specific question: 'Would you pay $50 a month for this service?' He immediately said no and explained why. That one direct question got me more useful info than all my vague requests. How do you guys ask for real feedback without getting empty nods?

That library moment shows how a single, pointed question cuts through the noise.

Exactly, gotta ask the questions that force a real answer.
