Just realized my coworker was right about pre-filtering diesel

I had a conversation with this old timer named Hank last week who said I was ruining my injectors by skipping the pre-filter step on my truck. He showed me the sludge he pulled out of his own filter after 2000 miles and I couldn't argue with that. Anyone else had a stubborn moment where a coworker proved you wrong about something basic?

I read that skipping pre-filters can wreck injectors fast.

Yeah "wreck injectors fast" is a bit dramatic but yeah you don't want junk getting in there.
