Warning: bad injector cup install almost cost me a head last month
Pulled a set of injectors on a 6.0 Powerstroke last month and found the cups were loose in the head. I used the old timer trick of red Loctite on the o-ring groove, torqued them to 48 ft-lbs like the book says. Spent 3 days chasing a compression leak on cylinder 4 before I realised the cup had cracked right at the shoulder. Guess the Loctite pushed it just enough to put stress on the cup. Anybody else run into issues using threadlocker on injector cups, or do you just go straight dry?

Liquid teflon tape woulda been better than Loctite there.

Oh man, reminds me of the time I used super glue on a sprinkler valve. Big mistake!
