Tried working from a hostel versus a coworking space in Medellin last month
I spent a week trying to work from a hostel common area, thinking the vibe would be fun and cheap. The wifi dropped constantly and it was way too loud to focus on calls. Then I paid for a week at a local coworking spot for about $80, and the difference was huge. Has anyone found a good middle ground that's affordable but actually reliable?

Hostel wifi is a joke for real work. Check if any cafes near you have a quiet back room or a dedicated work corner. I used to book a library study room for free when I needed a quiet spot for calls. Sometimes a hotel lobby bar has solid internet if you buy a coffee and sit away from the foot traffic.
