Can we talk about people who put knives with wooden handles in the dishwasher
I just had to toss a $40 chef's knife because the handle split after three washes and I'm seeing this same mistake in every kitchen I visit, how many of you have ruined a good knife this way?
Three washes does sound excessive, but maybe his dishwasher is just that bad (or he's being dramatic about a little film). Most people I know just rinse and go, so a casualty after three runs feels more like user error than a legit dishwasher failure. Honestly, sounds like he's looking for a reason to either complain or upgrade, not that there's a real problem.
