A simple tile backsplash turned into a grout nightmare in my kitchen

Last month, I tried to install a subway tile backsplash and rushed the grout cleanup. Now I have a permanent haze that no vinegar solution can touch. Has anyone successfully salvaged a situation like this without removing the tile?

Ever notice how many home projects start with a simple YouTube video and end with a permanent reminder of your own stupidity? That grout haze is basically concrete now, you waited too long. You need a proper grout haze remover from the hardware store, the acidic kind, and you have to scrub like hell with a stiff brush. If that doesn't work, you're looking at a poultice or calling someone, because that tile is basically sealed under a layer of rock.

Oh man, my buddy did that with his kitchen backsplash... he ended up having to redo the whole section because it set like glue.
