Why does cold weather ruin my cordless tool batteries?
I mean, I store everything in the garage, and when winter hits, the batteries just won't hold a charge. Maybe it's just me, but should I be bringing them inside overnight?

Bring them inside overnight for sure.

For most houseplants, @nelson.richard, they're fine above 50 degrees (check your forecast first).

Bring them inside? That's how you end up with a bug problem in your living room. My neighbor did that last fall and spent months fighting fungus gnats. These plants are tougher than we think. My fiddle leaf fig survived a surprise 45 degree night on the porch and didn't drop a single leaf. A little chill might even help some of them get ready for winter.
