My attempt to build a floating shelf in my Portland apartment ended with a hole in the wall
I tried to mount a 4-foot oak shelf above my TV using drywall anchors. I must have hit a weak spot because the whole thing ripped out, leaving a fist-sized hole in the plaster. Has anyone else in an old building had this happen and know a good fix?
