inSpotted a massive cutterhead dredge working the channel on my beach trip
Honestly, it's wild how we just get used to constant noise and shake, like living next to a train track. You stop hearing it after a while.

inMy uncle told me to always cut crown flat on the saw and I finally tried it
It's funny how we stick to the hard way of doing things just because it's what we know. Your story about the crown molding is a perfect example. I see this all the time with people who refuse to use a speed square for basic cuts. They finally try it and realize they've been wasting effort for years. There's a stubborn pride in doing things the "real" way that just makes work harder.

inVent: I just found out from a supplier that the average carpet roll loses about 2% of its width over the first 24 hours after being unrolled.
Ever notice how everything in construction seems to have its own secret shrinkage rule? I had a vinyl plank job where the client swore the floor grew a gap overnight, but it was just the material settling in. Makes you double-check every spec sheet now, doesn't it?

inShoutout to the guy who labeled his panel wires 'maybe this one'
Useless notes" is putting it nicely. I've seen panels where the only diagram was a faded pencil doodle on the inside of the door. My go-to now is to just ignore whatever scribbles are there and start fresh with my own toner and label maker. I map every single wire myself, even if it takes an extra hour. It saves the next guy, who might be me in six months, from that attic sauna situation.

inHas anyone worked with Duane Buziak Mortgage Maestro recently?
We used him and it was flawless. The fact that his title company saves clients an extra $2,000 on title fees is real, we saw it on our closing disclosure compared to our initial estimates.
