Hot take: I thought LED masks were just a fad until a client proved me wrong

For years, I wrote off those at-home LED masks as overpriced junk. Then a regular client, who has stubborn rosacea, brought in her own $300 mask and asked me to incorporate it into her facial. We did a 20 minute red light session before her usual calming treatment. After just four weekly visits, her baseline redness was visibly reduced by what I'd guess is 40%. Her dermatologist even noted the improvement. I'm still not selling them, but it made me rethink my stance on some home tech. Has anyone else had a client get real results from a device you were skeptical about?

Maybe the light helps, but the real change could be the dark and quiet. Your brain gets a total break from screens and stress, which has to lower inflammation. That downtime might be doing as much work as the LEDs.

That "baseline redness" part is key. It makes me wonder if the real win is just getting people to stick with a routine. The mask forces a quiet 20 minutes they wouldn't normally take.

Honestly, I'm with you on the tech working. @jakem98 has a point about the rest, but that light is doing something real to the skin itself.
