Wasted $80 on a fancy paint sprayer I barely used
Bought a Graco sprayer thinking I'd breeze through painting my living room in an afternoon. Spent 4 hours cleaning the thing after 20 minutes of use - back to rollers for me. Anyone else regret buying one of these things?

Did you consider that maybe the sprayer was totally fine but the paint was the problem? I learned the hard way that thicker paints like Behr or Valspar need a lot more thinning than you'd think or they clog everything up. Most people just pour it in straight and wonder why it's spitting and dripping everywhere. Also those videos always show them using super thin watered down paint which sprays nice but takes like 5 coats to cover anything. Your mileage may vary but I'd say give it another shot with a good quality thinner paint and see if that changes things.

Did you hear about those YouTube painters who make it look so easy? My buddy tried one and said the cleanup took longer than the actual painting job. Seems like these sprayers are more trouble than they're worth for small rooms.
