Unpopular opinion: I think manual drafting still beats CAD for certain jobs
I tried switching fully to AutoCAD for a recent residential floor plan in Columbus. Spent about 6 hours fighting with layer settings and line weights. The final printout looked fine but I could have done the same thing by hand in 3 hours with a parallel bar and a 0.5mm lead holder. What I learned is that for quick one-off projects where you don't need to share files, paper and pencil is still faster. Has anyone else found a tipping point where digital just isn't worth the hassle?

Did you factor in the three hours of rage-quitting and restarting the computer into that CAD time? That's the hidden cost they never mention in the tutorials.

My buddy Tom spent 45 minutes chasing a ghost wire in SolidWorks before realizing his mouse was unplugged lol.

Hold up, three hours of rage quitting and restarting? That's brutal. I can't believe you actually counted that as billable time. Most people just call that a "learning curve" and move on but you're out here tracking the meltdown minutes too. Honestly, that kind of honesty is refreshing because yeah, the tutorials never show you the part where you slam the laptop shut and go make a sandwich.
