Warning: wasted $80 on a 'Masterclass' that was just fancy YouTube clips

I signed up for this online class through a guy's Instagram ads, promising to teach me how to get people to open up in interviews. Paid $80 for the whole thing. Turns out it was just 40 minutes of him talking over clips from old TV shows, nothing new. I asked for a refund and got ghosted after 3 emails. Has anyone else fallen for those influencer 'courses' that sound good but are just recycled stuff you could find for free?

80 bucks and he couldn't even spring for new clips? That's rough. I bet half of those TV interviews are on YouTube right now with a 15 second ad you can skip. Sounds like you paid for someone's Netflix queue and a screen recording app. Maybe it's just me but these influencer courses always feel like buying a cookbook that turns out to be just a list of microwave instructions. At least you got ghosted quickly instead of strung along for weeks with empty promises. Silver lining I guess is you only lost 80 bucks and not your whole savings.

Wouldn't be surprised if those "interviews" are just him reacting to news clips on his phone while sitting on the couch. At least with a bad cookbook you still end up with a meal, but here it sounds like you just got a bill for the ingredients you already had.
