My mentor in Dallas insisted I stop using a comedone extractor on every single client
She said it was causing more irritation than it was worth, and after tracking results for 6 months, my clients' skin is way less red and inflamed. Anyone have a gentler extraction method they swear by?

Yeah, that's a tough lesson to learn. I was doing the same thing and saw so much redness. Now I mostly use a warm steam towel to soften everything up first, and then I only go after the ones that are truly ready to come out with light pressure from cotton swabs. It takes more patience but the skin looks so much calmer after.
