I just realized I've blocked over 100 people on social media
I was cleaning up my blocked list on Instagram last night and the counter said 112. That's a whole lot of people I've decided I don't want to see. Most are old high school folks who just post nasty political stuff or ads. But a few are actual friends I had a falling out with, and hitting that number made me feel weird. Is it wrong to just digitally erase people instead of trying to fix things? How do you guys handle cutting people off online?

Blocking is just a tool for your own peace. It's not about being right or wrong, it's about what you need to see on your own screen. Some relationships aren't worth fixing, and that's okay. A block can be the cleanest end to a messy situation. I've done it too and never looked back. Your feed should be a place you actually want to be.

But a block just hides the mess instead of cleaning it up. You're avoiding the real fix.
