Shoutout to my friend who called me out for always being on my phone at the park

She said, 'You're missing your kid's whole soccer game,' so I started leaving my phone in the car, but now I feel cut off if there's an emergency, so is it right to be fully present or stay reachable?

My sister said the same thing to me last year at my nephew's t-ball game. I got a smartwatch that shows calls and texts, so I can see if it's the school or my husband without pulling out my phone. It lets me be present but not totally panicked about missing something urgent.
