My guitar practice plan for a year died in a week
Overplanning kills motivation faster than no plan at all.

Just pick it up daily" can be just as bad if you have no direction. I tried that and ended up noodling aimlessly without getting better. A loose framework, like practicing chords for a few minutes before learning a riff, gives you something to follow. The issue is making a plan so big it feels impossible, not having a plan at all. Scale it back to something you can actually do without thinking too hard.

Why make it so complicated when @wesley205 has a point with just picking it up?
