Heated a shoe for a draft cross in cold weather and the clinch just wouldn't hold.
I learned to always check the hoof wall temperature with my hand before driving a nail after that shoe came loose in under a week, so what's your cold-weather clinching method?

Warm the clinch block first, learned that the hard way too.
