Appreciation post: The day I saw a dress fall apart on stage
I was at a student fashion show in Chicago and a model's entire side seam ripped open during the final walk. The designer had used a cheap, thin thread that couldn't handle the movement. Has anyone else had a project fail because of a material choice you thought was fine?

That "cheap thread" problem is everywhere, like @christopher_craig's "it's just a dress" attitude. People cut corners on small things and wonder why the whole thing falls apart.
