My friend in Seattle said 'fashion should feel like a favorite song' and it stuck with me.
We were looking at a stiff, overly structured jacket I designed, and she asked why it couldn't be as easy to wear as a worn-in hoodie. Has anyone else had a simple comment totally shift their design approach?

That's a really good way to put it. You see this all the time where a simple idea cuts through the noise. It's like when a complicated gadget gets replaced by something that just works without a manual. That comment about the hoodie hits on a basic truth, that comfort and feeling good are the real goals. A lot of design, not just clothes, gets lost in looking impressive and forgets how it actually feels to use. Your friend nailed it.
