I keep seeing new barbers in my shop gripping them like regular scissors, which just chews up the hair instead of blending it. How did you all learn the right grip when you were starting out?
I once ripped a lens apart without warming the adhesive, and it was a sticky nightmare. These days, I always use a hairdryer on low heat first, and it makes everything so much easier.
A dude brought in a zoom lens with loose elements. He wanted me to tighten it just enough to feel okay for a buyer, not fix it right. One side says take the cash and do the simple job he asked for. The other side says that's helping him rip someone off. What would you do here? I'm torn on where our responsibility ends.
