My vintage lens glue disaster changed my approach

I once ripped a lens apart without warming the adhesive, and it was a sticky nightmare. These days, I always use a hairdryer on low heat first, and it makes everything so much easier.

Careful with even low heat on some old lenses, it can fog the glass. A lens separation heater is a bit safer for that.

Just used a heating pad set to 150 degrees last week.

That sounds rough, hope it didn't mess anything up. Been there before with a different project.
