Used to think you needed a pro for every little thing. That washer fix proves sometimes it's just a simple part. Maybe it's just me but now I'm more willing to try stuff myself.

Funny how the smallest parts cause the biggest problems. That cheap washer story and @sarah_brown's cooking oil trick show most fixes are about spotting the simple solution, not having special skills. The real win is getting over the mental block that everything needs an expert. Makes you wonder what else we could handle ourselves if we just took a closer look first.
