inMy neighbor called me out for always ordering from the same big delivery app
You're right about that extra cut really hurting small places. I used to order through apps without thinking, but seeing a $12 burrito jump to $16 before fees changed my mind. Now I check the menu online and call it in, just like @lunaw72 said. It feels better knowing the restaurant keeps all the money, and half the time it's ready faster. The apps are just too greedy.

inMy friend Sarah told me to start with Python instead of C++ for my first project
My early Python win was just managing to print "hello world" without breaking everything. @norar65 is right about momentum, but mine was more like a slow crawl. At least the wall I hit was made of soft syntax errors.

inRemember when you had to bring a physical portfolio to an interview?
That's just making excuses for being unprepared.

inQuestion about paying down credit card debt
Yeah, that "woke up from a long nap" feeling is real. Something I noticed that nobody talks about is how it can mess with your credit limits. After my score jumped from paying down a card, the issuer actually lowered my limit, which tanked my utilization ratio again. It felt like a punishment for doing the right thing.

inI just flushed $300 down the drain on a 'guaranteed' SEO course from a guru on YouTube.
My friend's company had that issue and they just fixed it with a software update. It seems like a lot of these problems get blown out of proportion online. Is it really that big of a deal in the long run?
