I just flushed $300 down the drain on a 'guaranteed' SEO course from a guru on YouTube.
The whole thing was just rehashed blog posts from 2015, and now I need to decide if I should try to get a refund and deal with the hassle or just cut my losses and move on, so what would you guys do in this spot?

Ugh, same thing happened to me last year.

My friend's company had that issue and they just fixed it with a software update. It seems like a lot of these problems get blown out of proportion online. Is it really that big of a deal in the long run?

Oh man, $300 is basically the cost of a REALLY nice dinner for two where you can pretend you're fancy. I'd say try for the refund just to make the guru sweat a little, even if it's a hassle. Bet the refund process is as useless as their "course" - probably a 47-step email chain that leads to a broken link. Cut your losses and spend that energy on free Moz guides or something, at least those come with actual updated advice from 2023 instead of your guru's dusty 2015 relics.
