Watched the sunset over Lake Michigan last week and noticed the shadow on the horizon was curved, not flat
Brought my level and a straight edge to double check my eyes were playing tricks but the curvature was consistent across three different evenings, has anyone else tried this kind of simple observation test to verify for themselves?

Wait, what made you actually change your mind - was it the visual curve itself or something else you noticed during those tests? I'm curious because most people I've talked to who flipped sides usually mention a specific moment where their own measurement or observation contradicted what they expected to see. Like was it the actual shadow curve that got you, or did you go home and look up something that sealed it?
