I finally had that 'perfect' freelance week and it completely backfired

Last Monday I landed a $3,200 contract, finished a project 2 days early, and got a glowing review from a client in Portland. By Friday my bank account was looking great and I felt unstoppable. Then Saturday hit and I crashed hard - couldn't get out of bed, felt totally empty, like the high wore off and left nothing. Turns out riding that adrenaline wave for a week just set me up for a brutal low. Has anyone else had a killer work week totally wreck their mental state after?

70% of freelancers I know, including myself, have had a great week followed by a bad weekend. That crash is just your body paying back the energy you borrowed to get all that work done. It's not some emotional failure, it's just your system resetting after you pushed it too hard.

That 70% number from diana is interesting, but I wonder how many of us actually track the pattern or just accept it as normal. Did you notice any small warning signs during your killer week like trouble sleeping or skipping meals that you ignored? Those little things might be what actually set you up for that Saturday crash.
