Found my first ever thunder egg on a weekend trip

I went hiking near the old riverbed last Saturday. I was about to walk past it, but a weird shape caught my eye. When I cracked it open at home, the inside had these cool agate bands. I've been looking for one since I was a kid, so this felt huge. My hands were shaking when I saw the patterns. It's not perfect, but it's mine, and that's what counts. Just wanted to share this with people who get it.

Wait, you found it in the actual riverbed?

That old riverbed near Mill Creek is where everyone goes looking for thunder eggs. Took you this long to find one? I would have given up and started collecting broken pipes instead. Seriously though, agate bands are the real deal, not like my cousin's 'thunder egg' that's just a weird rock. Hands shaking is how you know it's good, even if it's not perfect.
