My move to reject cheap grocery runs upped my delivery income
Folks say you should take any order to stay active, but I started saying no to low tip jobs. Now I get fewer but better paying trips, and my weekly cash is actually higher.

So what's your actual cutoff point? Like do you reject anything under ten bucks, or is it more about the dollars per hour you figure you'll make?

Yeah, @charlie_stone84, that dollars per hour idea is key! I read a blog post where a freelancer said they always figure out their real hourly rate before taking a job. For example, if a task pays $20 but takes three hours, that's under $7 per hour, so they pass. Another guy sets a flat $15 minimum per project, no matter how quick. It really depends on your goals, but tracking time helps avoid low-value work.

The blog post you mentioned actually said the freelancer's floor was $25 an hour, not $7. That $7 example was just them showing the math on a bad offer they turned down. So their real rule is to never dip below that $25 rate. It's easy to mix up the example with the actual rule. Tracking time is still the best way to see what you're really making.
