Hydroplaned on I-35 near Austin and ended up facing the wrong way

I was driving my old Civic back from my mom's place in Round Rock when a sudden thunderstorm hit. Hit a puddle at 65 mph and my back end just slid out like I was on ice. I somehow spun 180 degrees and ended up stopped on the median grass, staring at oncoming traffic like an idiot. Anybody else ever do a full 360 and just sit there wondering how you didn't hit anything?

and just like that you become a star in your own personal action movie (minus the cool soundtrack). honestly though, that median grass probably saved your bumper from becoming a pancake on the guardrail.

@gray_patel nailed it with the action movie bit. That median grass probably felt like a giant safety cushion compared to the guardrail, which would've been a much worse ending to that story. Your tires are basically screaming at you to slow down when the rain hits, but we never listen until we're already spinning.
