I was sure the self-checkout would never work for our store, but now I'm a believer

When they installed 4 self-checkout machines at our Target in Nashville last spring, I thought it was a waste of money. After our busiest Black Friday ever, those machines handled over 300 transactions each while the regular lanes were backed up for 20 minutes. Has anyone else seen their store change their mind about these things?

Oh man, that Target in Nashville must have been a zoo on Black Friday lol. I was at the one in Franklin last year and the self-checkout line was actually shorter than the regular lanes, which blew my mind. They had 6 machines there and they zipped people through like greased lightning. I still don't fully trust them with my produce, though. Every time I weigh a bag of apples I swear the machine is judging me.

Those 6 Franklin machines crashed twice during my last visit and locked up my entire cart of groceries lol.
