Tried that vinegar and baking soda trick on rusty chrome trim
Left it on a 78 Grand Prix bumper for 30 minutes and it etched the chrome like crazy. Anyone else wreck a part experimenting with these internet hacks?

Vinegar and baking soda is actually a weak salt, not a strong cleaner. You gotta use chrome-specific polish on that old stuff or you'll strip the finish every time.

Chrome polish for kitchen grime? Isn't that overkill?
