Spent $80 on a cheap harbor freight welder to patch my '91 S10 floor pans and it actually held

Figured it would just be a toy but I've already done both rocker panels and the driver floorboard with no blowthroughs, has anyone else had surprisingly good luck with those little buzz boxes?

Cheap harbor freight welder" - yeah those $80 buzz boxes can surprise you if you keep the wire speed slow.

You ever stick with flux core or try gas with those cheaper machines...
