Warning: That brake job on my 1995 F-150 turned into a 4-hour ordeal
I thought I was just swapping pads and rotors on my old farm truck last Saturday, but one of the caliper bolts was seized so bad I had to use a torch and a 4-foot breaker bar to get it off. Has anyone else had to fight rusted hardware that made a simple job feel like a full restoration?

Man, did you try PB Blaster and letting it soak overnight or did you just go straight for the heat? I had the same thing happen on my old Ram, ended up snapping a bolt and having to drill it out in the rain.

Man, I feel your pain. That wet bolt snap is the worst. I think it's funny how we treat trucks like they're invincible until that one frozen bolt reminds us they're just metal held together by luck. Honestly, that's how I see most stuff breaking these days. People skip the simple prep step because they're in a hurry, then end up making twice the work for themselves. Same with my buddy's water heater last week. Didn't flush it for years, now the whole thing's rusted shut. Just like that bolt, the slow neglect always costs more in the end.
