Finally hit 50 coins in my collection jar this morning

I started dropping my spare change into an old pickle jar 3 years ago and just counted it up - $47.32 in mostly dimes and quarters. Anybody else keep a stash jar and wonder how much is actually in there?

I used to think that spare change was kind of pointless and wouldn't even bother picking up pennies. But seeing your $47.32 after three years actually makes me reconsider that. That's a decent little bonus you wouldn't have had otherwise.

Tell you what @richardk26, I was the SAME way until I started throwing all my coins into a jar on a dare. Ended up with almost $60 after a year and a half, totally worth it for the surprise cash. You'll be AMAZED how fast that pocket change adds up when you just forget about it.
