I was wrong about needing a strict plan for solo trips

Last year in Tokyo, I mapped out every train and temple visit. Then I got on the wrong train and ended up at a tiny festival in a neighborhood park. People were doing karaoke with homemade instruments, and I joined in for hours. Now I believe the best memories come from happy accidents.

Hey @lindab73, that "getting lost is part of the adventure" idea applies to regular life too. I've found some of my best moments came from simple mix-ups or changes in my day. It's cool how going off track can actually lead you somewhere better.
